Earth ~ Our Home

Our home must be protected from its destroyers; the destroyers are humans. We pillage the earth for its resources and rarely give back. The mechanized culture has taken over most of the planet. We think only of ourselves and not our wonderful and beautiful home – The Earth.
As a result the earth is facing climate change. As Allen Savory has said in his TED Talk (filmed in February 2013), it’s not only the abusive and overuse of fossil fuels for energy purposes but also from the lack of understanding about how to manage our lands.
Not only is the land damaged but biodiversity has declined as a result. Our waters are becoming polluted and ocean life has declined dramatically as a result of human impact. The air that we breathe contains pollutants from extensive use of fossil fuel and off gasses from the animals that are grown for the meat pipeline.
We should consider that life is an equation of balance – what we take, we must give back. Most humans are not as smart as they think they are; we have learned to take but do not give back; we look but do not see; we hear but do not listen; we think but do not understand. Only the dwindling populations of the world, known as native peoples who live close the land, give back, see, listen and understand this — they take only what they need and not more! Right now the native peoples are leading the fight to stop this. We must step up and support them AND change our greedy ways.
It’s time for the rest of the world to understand what will happen to our home, Earth, if we continue living our lives as lemmings. If we continue listening t0 the greedy people who are not trying to protect our home, Earth, as we know it, will crumble.
“Get up, stand up: Stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: don’t give up the fight!”
Speak up for the earth NOW, before it crumbles!
My blog will be sharing more ways to help us help change the world’s destiny. In addition to sharing vegan recipes, I will also be writing on the environment and ways to get involved to stop Monsanto from killing us, the oil companies projects to pollute the earth, land and water (ocean) management issues, biodiversity as well as sharing tools and ideas to help create awareness.

Lyrics by Songwriters: MARLEY, BOB / TOSH, PETER
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: don’t give up the fight!
Preacher man, don’t tell me, Heaven is under the earth. I know you don’t know What life is really worth. It’s not all that glitters is gold; ‘Alf the story has never been told: So now you see the light, eh! Stand up for your rights. come on!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: don’t give up the fight! Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up: don’t give up the fight!
Most people think, Great god will come from the skies, Take away everything And make everybody feel high. But if you know what life is worth, You will look for yours on earth: And now you see the light, You stand up for your rights. jah!
Get up, stand up! (jah, jah! ) Stand up for your rights! (oh-hoo! ) Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up! ) Don’t give up the fight! (life is your right! ) Get up, stand up! (so we can’t give up the fight! ) Stand up for your rights! (lord, lord! ) Get up, stand up! (keep on struggling on! ) Don’t give up the fight! (yeah! )
We sick an’ tired of-a your ism-skism game – Dyin’ ‘n’ goin’ to heaven in-a Jesus’ name, lord. We know when we understand: Almighty god is a living man. You can fool some people sometimes, But you can’t fool all the people all the time. So now we see the light (what you gonna do?), We gonna stand up for our rights! (yeah, yeah, yeah! )
So you better: Get up, stand up! (in the morning! git it up! ) Stand up for your rights! (stand up for our rights! ) Get up, stand up! Don’t give up the fight! (don’t give it up, don’t give it up! ) Get up, stand up! (get up, stand up! ) Stand up for your rights! (get up, stand up! ) Get up, stand up! (… ) Don’t give up the fight! (get up, stand up! ) Get up, stand up! (… ) Stand up for your rights! Get up, stand up! Don’t give up the fight!
