It is a Law of the Universe that, whatever message you send out to the universe, the same will be returned to you.  It is simply a variation of the Law of Karma. Otherwise known as “What Goes Around Comes Around”.

An ancient person – over 2000 years ago said:  (Matthew 7:2 NIV – New International Version) For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

In other Words – In Plain English, the punishment you decide others should receive will be the punishment you will receive.  For example – if you banish someone to burning in hell for all eternity, then you will burn in hell for all eternity.

Below are some other “versions” of the ancient philosophy, that whatever you wish for others will be returned to you.

Matthew 7:2 ASV, American Standard Version, For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.

Matthew 7:2 BBE, Bible in Basic English, For as you have been judging, so you will be judged, and with your measure will it be measured to you.

Matthew 7:2 CEB, Common English Bible, You’ll receive the same judgment you give. Whatever you deal out will be dealt out to you.

Matthew 7:2 CJB, Complete Jewish Bible, For the way you judge others is how you will be judged — the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure to you.

You have heard the old Chinese Proverb – Be Careful What You Wish For…?  Your words, whether in the form of thoughts, the written word, or the spoken word contain so much power, that if persons were to realize just HOW MUCH power they have – would be too frightened to even think any type of judgement on another person.

Proverbs 18:21  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: …”
Matthew 12:37  “For by your WORDS you will be ACQUITED, and by your WORDS you will be CONDEMNED.”
